The project continues the renovation work carried out by my father and me a few years ago (insulation, electrical installation, plasterboard fitting, coating, and painting).
This house is intended to accommodate a couple of friends visiting the hosts. An initial zoning plan was established based on this premise. Once the new spaces were defined, technical constraints limited the range of possibilities regarding their layout (notably the placement of water inlets and drainage systems).
Existing openings and architectural elements served as reference points for defining the spaces (the ground-floor joists and the skylight on the upper level). A conceptual design process guided the selection of furniture and materials, ensuring that this project fits into a broader context beyond its modest 36 square meters.
